About Epic Forge

At Epic Forge, we believe the strongest leaders are forged through discipline, refined by adversity, strengthened through service, and remembered by the lives they impact.

Leadership isn't inherited—it is forged.

Every challenge, setback, success, and hard decision shapes the leader we become. True leadership is not defined by a title or position, but by the character, courage, and conviction we demonstrate when others are counting on us.

Whether you're an emerging leader, a seasoned executive, a first responder, a veteran, a business owner, or someone striving to become the best version of yourself, Epic Forge exists to help you develop the mindset, skills, and character necessary to lead with integrity and create a lasting impact.

We believe leadership isn't learned in a single seminar or earned through a promotion. It is cultivated through intentional growth, disciplined action, meaningful relationships, and an unwavering commitment to serving others before ourselves.

Our approach is rooted in timeless principles that transcend industries and titles. We challenge individuals and organizations to raise their standards, embrace accountability, and pursue excellence—not for personal recognition, but to positively influence those they lead.

Leadership is a journey. Character is the foundation. Excellence is the standard.

Together, we'll forge both.

Meet Our Team

A man with short dark hair, wearing a plaid shirt and jeans, is hugging a large, light-colored dog with a black collar on a rock in a forest. The dog appears to be a Shiba Inu or similar breed, sitting with one paw on the rock and looking directly at the camera. The forest background is lush with green leaves and trees, and sunlight filters through the canopy.

Bryon Hoburg

Co-Founder

Bryon is a leadership coach, instructor, and business leader with more than 20 years of experience developing people, strengthening teams, and improving organizational performance.

Throughout his career in the heavy-equipment dealership industry, Bryon progressed through department management, corporate leadership, and director-level roles, ultimately leading large, multi-location parts and service organizations.

Bryon’s leadership style is practical, direct, and people-focused. He believes successful leadership is measured not only by financial results, but also by the quality, confidence, and capability of the people a leader develops. His approach centers on clear expectations, personal accountability, consistent communication, coaching, and helping individuals understand how their work contributes to a greater purpose.

During his professional career, Bryon led major operational and cultural improvement initiatives, developed managers, strengthened employee engagement, and produced measurable gains in profitability, productivity, and customer service. He also created a manager-development program that was later presented through John Deere as a best-practice example. His experience has taught him how to lead through change, address difficult personnel and performance challenges, and turn complex problems into practical action plans.

In addition to his business leadership experience, Bryon has more than a decade of experience in firearms education, personal safety, defensive training, and instructor development. His background includes NRA and USCCA training, self-defense instruction, force-on-force training, pepper-spray education, instructor development, and physical-security consulting. This combination of leadership and safety experience gives him a distinctive ability to teach decision-making, preparedness, confidence, and leadership under pressure.

At Epic Forge, Bryon works with individuals, leaders, and organizations facing real-world challenges. Whether he is coaching a new supervisor, helping an experienced manager navigate a difficult situation, or teaching personal preparedness, his objective remains the same: to provide honest guidance, practical tools, and clear next steps that help people become stronger and more capable.

Bryon believes that great leaders are not simply found—they are forged through challenge, discipline, accountability, and service to others.

Leadership isn't something Adam studied—it’s something he has lived.

For more than two decades, Adam had the privilege of leading people in some of life's most demanding environments. As an Army combat veteran with 22 years of military service, he served through combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Adam has led soldiers through combat, mentored foreign military forces, and served in leadership roles responsible for the lives, development, and success of those entrusted of him. Adam also has served others through a career in law enforcement, eventually serving as Chief of Police. Adam has lead officers, managed organizations, and helped communities navigate moments of crisis.

Those experiences taught Adam something that has become the foundation of Epic Forge:

Leadership isn't about position. It's about influence. It's about character. And it's forged—not inherited.

The greatest leaders Adam has known weren't defined by rank or title. They earned trust through integrity, built confidence through consistency, and inspired others by serving before leading. That philosophy has shaped every chapter of Adam’s life—as a soldier, law enforcement leader, instructor, mentor, husband, and father.

Adam and his wife have been married for more than 16 years, and together are raising four incredible boys. Adam’s family reminds him every day that leadership begins long before we step into the workplace. It starts in our homes, our habits, and the example we choose to set when no one is watching.

Epic Forge was founded with one purpose: to help individuals, teams, and organizations build leaders of character who are prepared to face adversity with courage, confidence, and conviction. Whether coaching emerging leaders, developing high-performing teams, or speaking to organizations, my mission remains the same—to help others discover that true leadership is forged through discipline, service, resilience, and intentional growth.

Because standards are forged—not inherited.
